How Do I Apply?

             Nia Infant & Toddler Child Development Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of families with children from birth to 36 months. Our focus is to nurture children to reach their full potential in every area of life. Nia partners with Charleston County First Steps under the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Program to provide year round, full-day, family-centered early care and education for working families and their children.
Our program focuses on serving families with vouchers.

To be eligible for Nia's Early Head Start - Child Care Partnership Program: 

  • Your child meets the age requirement
    (birth-28 months at time of application)
  • Your family meets the federal low-income guidelines

  • Preferably, your family receives SC Vouchers

  • Your child has been diagnosed or receives services for a disability

Enrollment 

Step 1: Gather all necessary documentation:

  • Proof of income (W-2, 1040, for previous calendar year, TANF, SSI, or 12 months of income statements)
  • SC Immunization Certificate
  • Health Insurance Information
  • If applicable:

        SC Childcare Voucher letter of approval
​        Proof of disability (IFSP/Progress notes)

Step 2: Contact Family Service Specialist to setup an appointment to complete application/one-on-one interview.
